Summary of Drug Acting on EYE :-

The eye could be a complex sensory organ liable for sight. Injury or disease to the ocular system may end up in vision loss. a spread of ophthalmic preparations (topical, parenteral, and oral) are available for both therapeutic and diagnostic use. Medications play a key role within the management of chronic dry-eye, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, infection, inflammation, and devolution.

The structural anatomy of the attention makes pharmacological treatment a singular challenge. The cornea consists of multiple layers comprised of hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties which may alter topical drug absorption. Although systemic absorption of ophthalmic agents can occur (mentioned in topics below), it's generally minimal because the eye is isolated from systemic vascular access because of the blood-retinal, blood-aqueous, and blood-vitreous barriers.
